ENCORE Television Distribution and CRAZY COW are happy to confirm the adaptation of the 2nd season of the cult series Les Beaux Malaises in Flemish Belgium!
Produced by Sputnik TV, the adaptation of the 2nd season of Les Beaux Malaises, entitled Boomer in Belgium, will air this fall on Belgium's leading channel, VRT1. Belgian actor Jan VAN LOOVEREN will brilliantly reprise the role of Martin MATTE, and, as in the first season, the roles of his wife and daughter in the adaptation will be played by the actor's real-life wife and daughter!
“We are very proud to confirm this 2nd season; Les Beaux Malaises once again demonstrates its strength and universality through brilliant scripts that resonate with the Belgian audience, just like with the Quebec audience,” says Chrystine GIRARD, Head of International Distribution at ENCORE Television Distribution.
“With an average of 30% market share for Season 1, it is the most successful new comedy in Belgium. It is also worth noting that VRT usually only offers originals, but made an exception for the adaptation of Les Beaux Malaises, much to the delight of the Belgian audience, who eagerly follow our comedian's adventures every week,” adds Michel DAEMEN of Crazy Cow.
Created by Martin MATTE and written in collaboration with François AVARD, Les Beaux Malaises was produced by Encore Television and Matte TV in collaboration with Quebecor Content. The series aired on TVA where it maintained an average market share of 45% and won 43 awards and accolades. The first three seasons of this cult series are currently available on TV5 Unis.
