PEARLS

Stéphanie is a big-hearted woman and single mother to two girls, her “Pearls,” Laurence (16) and Juliette (9). They live an ordinary life in a faraway little town. When Stéphanie returns from a clandestine trip down south with her lover, the whole town wrongly thinks she’s suffering from depression because that was her cover story. This little white lie ends up taking on enormous proportions, but falls to the wayside when Laurence announces an unexpected pregnancy. Stéphanie then heads off in search of a better life for her and her Pearls. This is a story about modern women, filled with humour and authenticity.
