Pascale, a 35-year-old mother, has just poisoned her two children. While Madeleine, 7 years old, survives, Henri, 4 years old, succumbs. Recently separated from her husband, Pascale appears to be the typical portrait of a jealous and abandoned woman who wanted to kill her children out of revenge. But what if the reality was more complex? Together, psychiatrist Éliane Sirois, Sergeant-Detective Boisvert—who was called out of his retirement specifically for this case—and defense attorney Me Michelle Simon will work tirelessly to understand what went on in this mother's mind.
SEASON 1
“Dark Soul” explores the collateral damage surrounding an unforgivable act committed by
a 16 year-old teen, Jeremy. With the help of the psychiatrist-coroner in charge of the
investigation, Jeremy's mom tries to understand how her son, a seemingly trouble-free boy,
could commit such a hateful crime. What triggered this nightmare? When did everything
change? Together, the two women set out on a mission to unravel the mystery.
